Year in Review 2007-8

Last year at this time when I was finishing 5th grade, I thought 6th grade was going to be hard and boring. I thought teachers will be mean and all the subjects will be hard.

Actually, I found out that 6th grade was really fun and easy. Teachers were funny and subjects weren't that hard.

I thought Spanish was going to be hard but it turned out to be easy. Tests were easy if you studied and it was fun.

I thought science was going to be easy but it turned out to be hard. Because there were vocab. tests and you had to memorize them.

Something I had no idea about but turned out to be important was Honor Roll. I never knew about it before but now I know that it is important.

August 14 was the first day of school. I remember me freaked out because of the teachers.

During August after school activities began. I participated in volleyball and I remember hitting ball over the net with the side of my foot at the tournament. And I almost scored like that.

September 20 we had class retreats. I remember catching the ball that Mr. Haque threw at us as we slided.

Tom Birdseye visited our school. He discussed about how he got his idea and how he wrote his story.

We took ISA tests in October. They were not hard but it was bit hard. But it went well.

We had a big break from October 14 - 20. I stayed at my house doing Korean studies.

Parent conferences were in late October. They made me feel nervous and good. Because I was worried what teachers will say but it turned out to be good.

I got my first middle school report card and I was so happy because I got really good scores.

Halloween Carnival was really fun. Because there were lots of fun booths and there were somethings that I enjoyed

At the recognition assemblies I was recognized for one of volleyball, soccer, play, grades. I felt good.

Our school play was The Great Cross Country Race. I was fisherman and Mr. UN

I performed in a concert. I was one of clarinets and I played really well.

We went on a class trip to Thailand from March 2-6. I remember Geordie. He was my team's guider. He was so funny. And we did food fight with him. On the last day, we were coming back to resort and Geordie show a locked door and told that it was the entrance to our resort. Since it was locked people tried to go over the door but I tried so hard and put my hand behind the door and pushed up the lock and pushed it open and I yell out of joy and when I turned back there were only few kids and Geordie wasn't there. I was frozen for 10 sec. and I ran to Geordie. Then I got tricked few more times and came back to the resort.

There were a lot of changes this year. Something I was really good at was jump roping. When I was young I couldn't even jump.

Something I wasn't so good at was swimming. I was weak at that and I still am. I'll try hard on that.

Something I would like to improve on is swimming. Because I'm bad at it.

I helped someone else on math homework. Now that person understands about that concept better.

Spring Break was April 6-12. I was at home and my cousin came over for a week. And I spent the break studying and playing.

Some of my classmates are leaving. One of them is John Du. He is going to Manila. Patrick Ly is going to Australia.

Next year I am hoping for good grades and many good friends.
